 | item: Some noncomplimentary reviews have been written here by people who, from what I conclude after reading their comments, did not actually serve in Vietnam. I did serve with the USMC around the DaNang area in 1969-70. After seeing most of the Vietnam war movies, I feel that this movie is the most realistic of how it really was over there. Why is there still no DVD of this movie? Though there are many interesting vietnam War Movies such as Platoon, Hamburger Hill, Tour of Duty, Siege on Firebase Gloria, Last Stand in the Lang Mei, Rumors of War, Boys in Company C, We were Soldier, The Green Berets, The Odd Angry Shot, Apocalypse Now, A Bright Shining Lie and etc. I still keep watching this Platoon Leader..I really wish this movie will be available in DVD soon. For war Movie Fan this is a must ... see description |

 | item: Things only get worse when the Captain steps in and gives Moore three days to make the a Marine out of the petrified private. Jim Moore is a tough-as-nails Drill Instructor with a chip on his shoulder: Pvt. Moore is convinced that "there's a man underneath that baby powder" and sets out to force the private to rise to the occasion. Instead, he drives Owens to bail out altogether. Sgt. Owens, who isn't quite up to snuff. The first time I saw the D.I. movie was back in the summer of 1987 when I was going through Marine Corps boot camp on Parris Island, South Carolina. The heat and sand fleas are legendary in that area as any recruit will tell you. I saw the movie more recently and the basic premise is just as I remembered it: even the most screwed up recruit can make it through boot... see description |

 | item: During the Vietnam War, a doctor and nurse meet and fall in love. The quality of the movie is poor. Very grainy and voice and movie not well synched. I love this movie. It is definitely worth watching.A must see for any true romance fan.I will continue to enjoy this over and over.I do hope that it will be released on dvd.It deserves to be enjoyed by everyone for a long time. We saw this movie when it first came out. We just wanted to see it again. It was on VHS so that was different for us. But it still had the same appeal to it. Action/Romance. I won't bore you with another review.
If you want this terrific little movie to come
out on dvd then click yes when asked if this
review was helpful to you.
Please bring it out on DVD. Both my husband (a Vietnam combat vet, 1967) and I love this... see description |
